the stinking enigma
The island was the ideal place for a trial of legalisation in western europe but we didn't want to sully our reputation and harm the finance sector. Plus the religious fruitcakes would never allow it here. I'd say 25 years until they die off then it's possible.

I think it's possible they may be aware of this. We need protecting from being able to avoid taxes. It's unhealthy for the nation. Simple way to raise revenue from people growing their own is to issue homegrow licences. Pay £100 per year for a licence that allows you to grow x plants or x floor space. In a secure lockable area, similar to a gun licence.

pongo
According to a sign outside the shop, prosecuting dope smokers is a waste of Police time. But isn't wasting Police time against the law? Who should be charged?

gettafa
Isle of Man just needs to legalise cannabis, and all drugs for that matter, bollocks to it, make a killing (no pun intended and all that). UK is going onto so uncertain ground with that there Brexit, we need to look after ourselves. Drug tourism, like we did for all those decades with liberal drinking laws. If it all goes tits up, just recriminalise it. Edited June 26, 2018 by gettafa
