Just my own unscientific guess based on perfromance and perceived constituency support. Obviously it all depends a great deal on who stands against them:

Arbory, Castletown and Malew

Hon Graham Derek CREGEEN Esq MHK    OUT

Jason Robert MOORHOUSE MHK   OUT

Ayre and Michael

Timothy Simon BAKER MHK  OUT

Hon Alfred Louis CANNAN Esq MHK IN

Douglas Central

Catherine Ann CORLETT MHK  OUT (fair personal following last time but for what?)

Hon Christopher Charles THOMAS Esq MHK IN

Douglas East

Clare Louise BETTISON MHK  OUT

Christopher Roy ROBERTSHAW Esq MHK Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys  OUT

Douglas North

Hon David John ASHFORD MHK  IN

George Ralph PEAKE Esq MHK  OUT

Douglas South

Kathleen Joan BEECROFT MHK  OUT

Hon William Mackay MALARKEY Esq MHK  OUT

Garff

Daphne Hilary Penelope CAINE MHK   OUT

Martyn John PERKINS MHK  IN

Glenfaba and Peel

Hon Geoffrey George BOOT Esq MHK  OUT

Hon Ray Karl HARMER Esq MHK  IN

Middle

Hon Robert Howard QUAYLE Esq MHK  IN    (Close run thing if Paul Craine stands again. Craine would be an asset.)

William Catto SHIMMINS MHK IN

Onchan

Rob Edward CALLISTER MHK  IN   (For services to literature if nothing else).

Julie Marie EDGE MHK OUT

Ramsey

Alexander John ALLINSON MHK  IN

Lawrie Lee HOOPER MHK OUT

Rushen

Hon Laurence David SKELLY MHK  OUT

But regardless of the projected ins and outs - would anything actually or substantially change...?

Particularly given Beecroft's broadside that the Civil Service run the place (that everybody with a grain of interest knows to be true).

ETA. But nobody in their right minds, not even Peel, is going to put Harmer back in again?

Absolutely; but this thread is not about those who actually run the place from the shadows. It's about the theatre show put on for the masses.

I’d say it’s between Allison and Cannan next time but Allison might not get the backing not being a Manxie.

'Manxness' is just about irrelevant these days when it comes to Tynwald members. Well, for example the President of Tynwald is a dyed in the wool swetty.

It used to be that if you hadn't been to Silverdale on a Sunday School Anniversary picnic you didn't have a chance. These days many of the import politicians would simply have such places concreted over and made into yuppie/taxdodger homes, let alone know where it was

Hon Graham Derek CREGEEN Esq MHK    OUT  Not sure about this; seemingly has a strong local following and if he would be dumped for being an idiot, wouldn’t that have happened already?

Jason Robert MOORHOUSE MHK   OUT Please god yes...and I think he will indeed be dumped.

Ayre and Michael

Timothy Simon BAKER MHK  OUT  Agreed - tedious lightweight offering nothing.

Hon Alfred Louis CANNAN Esq MHK IN Certain to be re-elected.

Douglas Central

Catherine Ann CORLETT MHK  OUT (fair personal following last time but for what?) Agreed - is she even still alive. Possibly abducted by aliens.

Hon Christopher Charles THOMAS Esq MHK IN  Agreed - has a high profile. Will bamboozle the blue-rinse neo-fascists of his constituency once again.

Douglas East

Clare Louise BETTISON MHK  OUT Possibly - is certainly useless but has the right Tory-inspired election machinery.

Christopher Roy ROBERTSHAW Esq MHK Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys  OUT Correct - time is up for the dinosaur outside pissing in.

Douglas North

Hon David John ASHFORD MHK  IN Correct - will clean up the vampire vote and the undead...being everyone else in his constituency.

George Ralph PEAKE Esq MHK  OUT -Probably. Surprising re-election last time. Strong new candidate will unseat him, unless saved by the Freemason vote.

Douglas South

Kathleen Joan BEECROFT MHK  OUT Certainly should be. So bad it’s blackly comical. But who can account for the wackos on her patch?

Hon William Mackay MALARKEY Esq MHK  OUT Probably (will he even stand?). But something of an unlikely survivor of previous elections when looking vulnerable.

Garff

Daphne Hilary Penelope CAINE MHK   OUT  Maybe - but to be honest that’d be a shame. Has some wacky ideas but is also on it in other areas. First (and only?) MHK to challenge the idiot Chief Minister. Deserves credit for that.

Martyn John PERKINS MHK  IN Surely not. Imbecile.

Glenfaba and Peel

Hon Geoffrey George BOOT Esq MHK  OUT All being well. Complete Tory tosser. And thick as mince.

Hon Ray Karl HARMER Esq MHK  IN Are you joking? Please say yes.

Middle

Hon Robert Howard QUAYLE Esq MHK  IN    (Close run thing if Paul Craine stands again. Craine would be an asset.) Jeeeesus

William Catto SHIMMINS MHK IN  Yeah, probably. Shame if he keeps Craine out though.

Onchan

Rob Edward CALLISTER MHK  IN   (For services to literature if nothing else).  Well every circus needs a clown. And he’s that alright.

Julie Marie EDGE MHK OUT Absolutely. In her own way, the worst of the lot.

Ramsey

Alexander John ALLINSON MHK  IN  Yes. A little too self-regarding and the clever-arse can be seen just below the surface, but will poll more votes than any other candidate. Likely next CM.

Lawrie Lee HOOPER MHK OUT  Taking the “Articulate gobshite” route. Could be a winning strategy in Ramsey.

Rushen

Hon Laurence David SKELLY MHK  OUT In medieval times would actually be executed. Should consider merely losing his seat as good fortune. The shit politicians’ shit politician.

The Hon Juan Paul WATTERSON BA FCA CMgr FCMI SHK  Speaker of the House of Keys  IN Will be saved by his status and the Masons. Not by his alcohol consumption record.

Is that really his full name? Sounds like a country and western act!

You have too many outs I think. Lots sadly will get back in whether you like it or not.

It does sound like a country and western act name, but for a girl. I also thought that I have too many outs, but I couldn't justify changing any of those to ins. Even some of the existing ins are a stretch!

Robertshaw won't be standing, perhaps not Quayle either. Caine will be re-elected, & there will be a few IOM Green Party MHKs

Interesting comment regarding Paul Craine, Woolley. I can't help thinking that if he got in we'd end up with another technocrat along with CT. One's enough.

September 2021; as many as possible; as few as possible. (Actually, Allinson will stay as he will be the next CM).

Here are a few predictions:

Alfred Cannan as Chief Minister.

Chris Thomas as Treasury Minister.

David Ashcroft will become Minister for Policy and Reform.

Rob Callister will come back like a turd that won't flush.

Julie Edge will be ousted.

Kate Beecroft presumably will not run again.

Alex Allinson will remain. Probably becoming a minister, maybe Health.

Ralph Peake will be ousted.

Daphne Caine will remain and become a minister, maybe DEFA.

Geoffrey Boot will be ousted.

New MHKs:

McGuiness will probably become Ramsey MHK.

Newton (Green party) will become an MHK.

Faragher (Labour) will become an MHK.
