SJR
Do people on this Island really want to take in people that are probably traumatised and will need massive support and housing not to mention overwhelming our stretched NHS.If you set a precedent then why not more from Iran and Iraq as those two countries will be the next to go..And why not Somalia or Zimbabwe..Best to keep sending our cash overseas to waste.. They never suggest bringing in thousands of them. With them you probably would get the benefits you are supposed to get with others. - doctors, businesses, shops, IT skills etc. Low crime and probably would intergrate pretty well but it doesn't quite fit the agenda, so it won't be brought up. Kopek
Surely it is the traumatised from any war zone who are most in need of what the ''West'' ,including ourselves, can offer to alleviate their problems? That our own mental health services are under pressure has led to Govt promises of extra spending, a tiny bit more would allow for the treatment of a wider range of patients who may even enhance the skills of the professionals that we have in place. SJR
Any alleged "refugee" will have no skills to offer. The war in Syria is over and anyone with anything to offer has been employed in the Arab World..What you get in Europe are the scroungers and those that are not so clever. Those that ran at the first gunfire. Yes you are a clown. My father died because of the shit NHS and I never knew until I was sorting through his papers and found out he was suing the NHS here because the foreign doctors on massive money did not care and gave him the wrong drugs. And you fancy people that hate the Country.. hissingsid
SJR you are spot on, this religious group who are hell bent on this ridiculous idea have got an MHK who would go to the opening of a letter to get publicity on side. It is much better to send money one and a half million pounds at the last count to help the many rather than bring the few over to the Island without any framework of support.
