Oh I don't rely on them by any means, but they are handy sometimes, they did report the New Years Eve sex attacks the day after, well before most of the mainstream news sites did. SJR
So you think that anyone that is in a refugee camp has skills to offer....Do you not think that their own would not offer them those highly paid jobs..Do you not think that Saudi Arabia or any of the Gulf States would not take on anyone that was skilled.. SJR
Trouble is once you have let in people that hate you then you let their relatives and then suddenly you are overwhelmed.......

Aww pop at mean news sites - precious, I notice you didn't actually have any argument for the breaking of the NY eve sex attack story WAAAAY before the BBC, Guardian etc touched it, which they eventually did and confirmed it as being correct. But like I said I don't rely on it by any means, but sometimes it is handy for linked articles.

Kopek
........but the people carrying out these attacks are not seeking asylum or shelter from their demons. They are part of our current society, either brave jihadis warriors or crazed individuals, depending on your point of view but they tend not to be recent immigrants. Maybe or maybe not for the ones today but I did put up several links in the other thread where they were recent asylum seekers or came in with them. 4 minutes ago, MrPB said: You mentioned the Guardian not me. Do you assume someone has a political bias if they wouldn’t wipe their arse on a briebart report? Wouldn't wipe my arse with most media, particularly the mainstream media sites tbh, but we have to use what's available.
SJR
It's quite simple throw money at them if you want but never let any into the Country..You never know what you will get and they will multiply..
Rog
So let's take Syria. The only refugees coming from Syria will be those who fought the legitimate Syrian government. They are Islamic fighters and terrorists. The rest who were caught up in the attack on the legitimate government have nothing to fear and are returning home. So do you really want islamists in your midst?

Amadeus
Better to send monetary aid to other areas or organisations already active in the field. I would not go down the road of bringing refugees here as it always ends up being more complicated than people with the best of intentions anticipated. Looking with one eye to Germany and what is going on there, I would firmly suggest not to get directly involved. Idealism doesn't work here.
