Mattrblue Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 So, we're thinking of having an overnight stay in Ramsey Park Hotel. I have no idea regarding Ramsey restaurants. doe anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks Quote
Rhumsaa Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 if you enjoy Indian cuisine I'd recommend Vellikas or you could head to the cafe at the south of the park to enjoy a pizza from Conrods I have not eaten at the hotel but I believe the food there is quite nice. 1 Quote

Thanks. We have kids so the pizza place sounds cool. Quote
woolley Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 The food in the hotel was of a very high standard when we stayed there, but it is a few years ago now. The breakfast was outstanding. Quote
doc.fixit Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 We didn't feel the food was very good at lunchtimes. Quote
Shake me up Judy Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 The Trawlerman. Two course slap-up dinner for £8. Bread and butter included with main course. Tea or coffee. Choice of two desserts. Friendly chef. Marvellous. 1 Quote
doc.fixit Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Yup, we'll be there later on this week, oh yes, looking forward to it. 1 Quote
inspector Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Without knowing the ages of the kids, "The Other Place" would be my recommendation. I think they have a Facey page and are pretty good to answer questions or consider special requests. Quote
mannin Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 +1 for "The Other Place" I'd also strongly recommend "The Ravioli House." There is a new chef at the Habour Bistro who has a good local reputation so that might also be worth a shout. If you are prepared to go out to Lezayre; "Cafe Rosa" is pretty good. Quote

I thought the Harbour bistro closed a couple of year's ago due to ill health? Quote

Cascarino Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Just had a weekend in Ramsey and Vellikas and The Ravioli House were both excellent. Gelatory was great for ice cream but unfortunately was closed Monday. Quote
