SleepyJoe
It's astonishing that with just under 4 months to go til the date of the poll no one else has declared a candidacy

Albert Tatlock
There'll be at least 9 candidates for Douglas East by Aug IMO.

Most manifesto's are only released the week before the election. You'll be lucky to see 100 people turn up to interrogate all the candidates at a public meeting.
SleepyJoe
Be interesting to see what the actual turnout figures are on the day

Hence they were rightly elected. Where there’s a will...
Amadeus
Can't remember how long it took me, but yes, Douglas South can be done. It's big but a pair of good shoes and some German marching music and it's easy work...

Indeed, but I think he took over a year to do it. It's certainly possible to get a constituency in six weeks if you do it all day every day, but you're only contact with most people will be a "Sorry You Were Out" card, which isn't as effective as personal contact. You really are best starting campaigning as early as possible.
