Rees-Mogg has resigned from the government. Presumably, before he was sacked.

And so the Tory “bastards” ( John Major’s description for his anti EU awkward squad ) are coalescing outside government. Rishi will be in for a bumpy ride.

More good news.  That walking caricature had no place in the Cabinet.

Hopefully he will lose his seat at the next General Election.  Absolute self-servibg cretin!

For an exhilarating heartbeat, I thought Declan meant JRM resigned as an MP.

Resigning from government will have to do for now, I suppose. I'm not sure how he's kept his seat for this long though, odious toad that he is.

5 days ago Suella Braverman -

Quote

"As soon as I realised my mistake, I rapidly reported this on official channels, and informed the Cabinet Secretary. As Home Secretary I hold myself to the highest standards and my resignation is the right thing to do. The business of government relies upon people accepting responsibility for their mistakes. Pretending we haven't made mistakes, carrying on as if everyone can't see that we have made them, and hoping that things will magically come right is not serious polities. I have made a mistake; I accept responsibility: I resign."

Today - "Suella Braverman has been re-appointed as home secretary"

I do find it interesting that the Conservative Party have now delivered the first female Prime Minister and the first person of colour (and Hindu) Prime Minister.  Not sure what to make of this given the party can often be anti-immigration...

Anyway, how long will he last?  Last time Max started a thread the PM was out within 2 months,

He’s Sikh not Hindu.
