There is talk of a possible 'Associate Member' status for the UK coming from the EU. So potentially things MIGHT be better than people might be predicting. The EU doesnt want to fall over and most in there know it needs major reform.

It is best to get on line and find out exactly what Associate Status means because from what I have seen this is a threat rather than a promise...

In the meantime once the UK walks away from the table via Article 50 every effort will be made to transfer financial services from the City to the Eurozone area and build an alternative centre of excellence.

Think of all the industries in the EU who rely on trade with the UK. Those CEO's will be campaigning for trade to continue with no barriers otherwise jobs will have to go and local politicians in the respective countries will be besieged by their constituent business leaders to help them make the case to Brussels to continue trading with the UK. There is so much fear knocking around and it's all stemming from Brussels who fear a knock on effect and the loss of their political empire.

So, Sir Mervyn King ex BoE governor reckons UK Treasury exaggerated the doom and gloom numbers...... well there's surprise, not: http://www.reuters.com/article/britain-eu-king-idUSU8N18A01H

The following link contains some interesting info written by an economist from the Brexit camp on why the impending divorce holds no fear for the UK when it comes to trade: http://politeia.co.uk/sites/default/files/files/Minford%20Masterpiece(1).pdf

This is against background where Junker himself said:

Europeans will represent just 7% of the world’s population. We are the smallest continent. Our relative part of the global GDP will shrink. Not one single European country will be a member of the G7 in 25 years from now. We will disappear in terms of our economic weight.”

Junker is an arrogant elitist drunk and a failure and another good part of this is that Brexit will hopefully see him off. He was only the PM of Luxembourg. Thats a bit like Eddie Teare being head of the EU; the head of an irrelevant tax dodging micro nation that is only in the EU as they were desperate to scrape a handful of countries together when they set the whole thing up.
