You cannot add any credibility to this movement whatsoever when you have no controls in place over multiple users and other questionable accounts you register and allow to vote and therefore determine policy. Also when you don't handle people's data properly and in observance of the guidance provided in relation to the Data Protection Act. From what I hear the Twitter experience on Friday is lining up to be interesting too. Stick to granny farming. The more important thing is to highlight what dangerous a sham this exercise is. Why on earth would you allow an unvalidated poll involving numbers of non existent people to drive a vote in Keys? Maybe but why would people offer up that information? Especially if they are going to share it with third parties which their T & Cs allow them to do. It's not really that secure for such personal data which could be stolen and used for nefarious purposes. At the end of the day it's not you.gov or any official secure political polling site. It's is an over inflated hobby project for a politician to use as a backdrop to an election campaign that has no proper governance around it and no proper or effective account validation process around it. So why the hell should a vote in Tynwald be cast on the basis of its unvalidated outputs from people who often probably don't even exist. He should have set up an X-Factor style phone voting system using premium rate numbers and texts at a £1 a go, To vote for a solid gold prom, add 01. If your choice is the monorail, add 02. Etc. But apparently we have voter apathy according to Gawne. I'd argue that actually we don't. We just have a lot of wankers standing for politics that nobody gives a shit about.
