I suspect many remainers voted Labour because they preferred Labour's vision of

Twice. Once on the principle, and again when possessed of the actual terms of exit.

That wasn't in Labour's election manifesto.

Only encourages the EU not to negotiate seriously because the shittier the deal on offer, the greater the chance that referendum 2 goes for remain and the gravy train continues for them. Stupid idea.

It makes perfect sense to hold a second referendum on the actual terms of exit.  It also makes perfect sense to test the decision in principle that was taken last year against reality, when reality last time around was represented by a false slogan on a bus.

Based on that, we should insist they hold the general election again...

Especially when the size and duration of the detrimental impact on UK economic growth can be estimated with greater accuracy.  That should sharpen the mind.

Eh? You got a crystal ball?

We alredy agreed in another topic that there would be a detrimental effect, did we not?

It's not a hazardous assumption to make that better estimates of this detrimental effect will be possible once further information on the difficulties and hoops that have to be jumped through to establish customs and trade infrastructure (not to mention the "divorce bill").

Well yes. But I'd have gone for WTO already with a promise of no tariffs if reciprocated.
