If you can’t see that this holiday was problematic in regards to that code you’re being partisan. Do it properly and no issues at all, but a minister of state shouldn’t be holding meetings with a foreign head of state without her prime minister, the foreign office or even the local embassy knowing anything about it until after the event. “So Priti, what did you get up to on holiday?” ”Well Prime Minister ...” Get real if you think the PM would be fine with her answer. Simply meeting with a friend and ally is not in violation of the ministerial code. Israel isn't a "foreign policy" issue in the traditional sense. Nor, for that matter, would she have felt the need to give a highly misleading statement about the FCO knowing about her actions, if she had done nothing wrong.
