woody2
weren't greenlight terrible? http://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/all-change-for-tt-tv-deal/
yootalkin2me
Quite odd, unless they were holding the island to ransom surely they should have continued if the viewing figures increased year on year.
Max Power
It all depends on the budget they had to work with, there was also a huge technological leap which benefited N1 at the time they took over. I guess we'll see very soon but N1's coverage was getting very stale.
yootalkin2me
Well there's one good thing to come out of this; the money stays on the island.
Max Power
I'd also prefer to see a local company which employs local people doing work for government, even if they need to bring in expertise from off island.
The Phat Tog
I could never see much difference between the Greenlight and North One coverage other than N1 had a high speed camera for ultra slow motion. Greenlight have provided decent coverage of other road racing events so all good as far as I'm concerned.
Dhoon Boy
Greenlight's coverage of the North West and Ulster is top class to be fair, long time since they did the TT. Great to see a local company beating competition from off Island. We'll see in June but until then I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Boo Gay'n
IOM Gov procurement rules are clear and simple. My firm has tried to get some work. We assumed when we failed that our price, although calculated as being competitive to them and profitable for us, was higher than the opposition. It's business, move on. woolley
I see we are going to get a cost/benefit analysis to the Island of the TT. That will be interesting. I wonder what the terms of reference will be. Will the conclusion be written before the report?

I’m sure MF posters could write this report on here, coming out with similar bullshit terminology and associated buzzwords which is so beloved of IOMG. Well, my contribution to the report is to use the magic word "strategic" for as many times as will fill a report of some +400 pages long. You can't have enough "strategic"s in an IOM report. Ever.
