SJR Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Probably the worst team ever to win the Champions League.Surely no team has ever lost as many games on its route to the final. It seems that every single VAR decision goes for them and when one does not they get the benefit of the next unbelievable.. TheTeapot Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 (edited) You certainly shouldn't bet against them. In last seasons champions league they beat the champions of Portugal, France, Germany and Spain, and the runners up from Italy. Sure, the final itself wasn't the most exciting game ever, but that's because of the disappointments of the previous two European finals they'd lost, there was absolutely NO WAY they were going to lose last year, and made sure of it. In the league they've lost once in 50+ games, won 13 of 14 this season, yet people like you still think it is luck. It is not. It is down to shear determination, epitomised by the technically limited Jordan Henderson. On the subject of VAR, which is a load of shite, Liverpool haven't been especially lucky with the decisions, certainly no more than anyone else. They've had goals ruled out by it, for example the ridiculous 'Bobby's armpit' against Villa. I can only imagine the total froth coming from people like you had Liverpool scored the free kick Brighton did yesterday... I'm delighted that so many people have been triggered by this relentless red machine, its hilarious, time to reassess, this isn't luck, Liverpool are simply brilliant. Declan Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 I don't want to get carried away, but I think we've probably avoided relegation. 1 Quote

TheTeapot Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Need? Bit of luck is always handy but what they need is to continue playing with the attitude of James Milner. Put the work in, and you get the luck. They were absolutely superb tonight, all 5 goals were excellent, Mane was on one, and should have scored more. Salah, Firmino and Henderson on the bench. Fantastic stuff. Quote

Milner is what every young footballer should aspire to be. It’s why he has been around for so long Quote
woolley Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 One small consolation in the current mess that does please me is the way it has turned out for Milner. I thought he did very well for City but was quickly dispensed with when more expensive and supposedly better options came along. Funny old game. Quote
manxman1980 Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Anyone see the snowflake Liverpool supporters getting irate by being referred to as "bin-dippers"? Quote
