TheTeapot
I absolutely love the Tour de France and this years has already been completely amazing. Some heavy heavy crashes early, including (inevitably) Thomas and Roglic has helped put Pogacar in a very strong position after his insane time trial yesterday, but really there's only one story that matters right now: the stunning return to form of Mark Cavendish. Absolutely sensational stuff, a week before the tour he wasn't even going! Longest stage of the race tomorrow with a bunch of smallish climbs in the second half, gonna be another belter. Tune in, it's epic stuff. 2
Peter Layman
Trying to watch the highlights on Eurosport. What a droney, sleep inducing commentator. Better now that it’s on mute
TheTeapot
The ITV4 crew are loads better than eurosport, it's on live everyday, although eurosport normally starts their coverage earlier, and there is an ITV highlights show at 7 everyday which is also on the very shit itv hub. Cheers, I've set the box to record ITV4. Don't think I can take any more cookery tips from the bloody commentator

All this instead of commentating on the action
citizen x
Oh .not shaun (sean) maybe it was Carlton kirby he has been on euro sport for decades he often goes on about what he had for dinner the night before,he once missed a spectacular crash because he was waxing lyrical about a souffle he,d had for lunch Edited July 3, 2021 by citizen x
TheTeapot
Carlton Kirby and Sean Kelly are awful. Giro coverage is through them, and its crap, better off watching on S4C. ITV is a million times better. Something crazy going on with Pogacar, incredible ride again today. Incredible.
manxman1980
Great to see Cavendish doing well again and once again being referred to as "British". Guarantee if he goes off the boil again he will start being referred to as Manx again. As for the commentators... I haven't watched it live for a long time, however, aren't there some fairly lengthy periods of time when not much is happening? Maybe some movement in the peleton but mostly just waiting for a break away to happen. They need to fill that time somehow in order to justify their salaries. Probably settle down a bit this week though.
The Chief
wild first week, i expect a little stability for a couple of days while the other teams figure out if they can chase Pogacar or just go for stage wins.
