I'd love to see an installation similar to that. Something more akin to our budget though. We'd end up with 1/4" ball bearing stuck on matchsticks.

Must've had some concrete evidence. -
You'd never catch me eating a whole chilli, but nice to see it's a worthy enough event to get the Lieutenant Governor to attend.

Everyone will be so impressed when they arrive at the Liverpool terminal then travel on the Manxman. Then they'll set foot on the Island.

Great idea. I'll be due a big rebate.

Blowing them up seems a bit harsh. In other news...St.Marys road, Port Erin...(shamlessly taken off facebook)

Pretty much agree @2112. Since i sent letters out to the oft, IoME and the bank, as explained many pages back, I have had action from the bank and to a certain extent IoME, but nothing from the oft. IoME were adament that the meter reading was an actual reading (3100) so I was to pay it immediately. (It is currently 3002.) I told them I will pay it when my meter reads 3100 or when the bill is corrected. Since then, there has been an estimated bill of 3178 and a total "owed"is £511.49. As I say, the reading now, 4 months later is 3002. And the OFT is silent.

I'd be surprised if they didn't have something arranged for the TT.

The latest on this farce.... On Wednesday I received my Gas bill, dated 29th December, with an 'actual' reading which was approximately 200 units above my current meter reading. Yesterday I got my direct debit refunded in full. Today I cancelled my direct debit. From now on it'll be a cheque stapled to a cover letter.

https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/customers-take-to-social-media-to-highlight-ongoing-problems-with-gas-bills/ I had just over £350 taken from my account on Wednesday. On Thursday I wrote to my bank asking for a refund under the DD guarentee and cc'd in Iom Energy and the OFT. It's took me overdrawn and I'm fuming.

As a Merchandise Replenishment Operative in a local supermarket, may I say that the bbe dates are usually quite long. I don't drink now, but when I did, I never had beer out of date, usually because I drank the stuff on the day of purchase. Just to be on the safe side, buy from the front because stock rotation is a myth as it's all computorized ordering nowadays.

I doubt you'd need Wagatha Christie to solve this though.

It's 'Down North.' Good luck.

I didn't think it was worthy of a mention at the time... It started on September 4th https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/douglas-woman-accused-of-committing-act-against-public-justice/

I'll certainly go to as many games as I can, but then I like my football. I was surprised at the lack of advertising at the match. MT, NK construction and Robinsons was all I could see, so it doesn't look like many businesses are getting behind it.
