Steam Packet Warns Of Disruption To Sailings

I see the Ben has moved to be alongside the KE pier though its ramp is up - the new boat would appear to have scuttled off to safer waters - maybe still with the Korean engineers on board - one comment I was told was that some of the trouble with maneuvering in Heysham was there is a significant delay in response between the bridge and the engines responding.

now it has returned to the Victoria pier Edited by Frances

heard today that some Manx Independent staff have been told not come in tomorrow as there is no work them because the boat hasn't sailed AGAIN !! ,  these teething problems are having quite an impact.

Scuttling it for the insurance may be more cost effective option.

Plodding between Fleetwood and Anglesey again. What a waste of fuel.

Why can't they anchor in Dulas Bay like a fair few do already?

Good opportunity for vibration testing, how's and why's and potential cures?

So presumably this problem only manifested itself recently?

Ergo must be due to wear somewhere...?

It's a storm FFS. Nothing is sailing in or out of Heysham.
