We have a series of apparently unconnected bodies which basically gainsay anything the elected bodies do. MVIC is a facebook page arranged by some well meaning people and occasionally they touch on something important. By and large though, the stuff is appealing to human nature but not significant in the bigger picture. Here's some examples; Last night there was a post about bathing cats. Last week, a piece about ear piercing babies Cat bathing is clearly not a political issue (unlike dogshit ). Baby ear piercing is emotive and perhaps worthy of legislation, but not to the detriment of discussing say the funding of the Health Service. Apparently, if your pov is against the busy admin line, which just a little under the surface appears to be very much supportive of Government and the establishment, and too many 'likes' ensues the poster is systematically removed from the group.
