Otherwise what’s to stop the SPC turning round and saying that they can sail to Birkenhead cheaper than it would cost to take out a lease on the new terminal and telling Treasury to FO as it doesn’t make commercial sense to take out an additional lease over the new facility? Where would they dock at Birkenhead? I thought the Stena dock had been modified to suit the double decker link span or whatever it's called. You're completely missing the point of the arms length arrangement.

Non-Believer
"Slight" modifications to a ship that's just had an expensive refurb. Let's hope that they are just slight as well.
Dirty Buggane
Slight, will mean fitting lifts so as you can disembark up the car ramp. All because of some prick who's only experience with boats are the paddle ones at Silverdale. Or the intern at the architech's that were doing the design which I bet we paid handsomely for there top man who then charge us £3,000/hour. Has the Manxman also been having the same problems and they are just to scared to say so ?. Edited March 22 by Dirty Buggane
CallMeCurious
So you custom built the new garage to accommodate the new bespoke car you bought then find out that your other car, the soft top you already had and use in the summer has to have 'minor modifications' so you can get in and out of it when you put in the garage. Let's all pray that when they eventually replace the Mannanan they won't end up modifying the new terminal to accomodate it.... If you turned this saga into a work of fiction, no-one would ever beleive it.
