LightBulb
Richmond hill, there seems to be confusion, is it open, or closed, came through yesterday, and today with boards showing closed, but it was open, is it an offence to travel on it when it says it is closed, but is open ? Sounds like the usual Manx Muddle. Incompetence and confusion at its glorious best.

When I went past today the yellow diversion signs were in place, but the 'road closed' signs were folded face down at the side of the road. I would say that constitutes a road open. John Wright
We went over to Castletown at 11.45 via St Marks and Castletown starting from Cooil Road. Diversion signs were up. No traffic. Coming back at 13.30 we went via Santon and Richmond Hill. The Roads Closed signs were face down and Richmond Hill open.
yorik
20mph grit signs and no overtaking signs were up at 6:30 this morning and still there at 4 this afternoon. No sign of any grit or any workers though
LightBulb
But if the road closed signs where up, ( as there where when i drove through yestreday )but the road wasn` t actually closed, would you still be commiting an offence of driving on closed roads ( as in TT week ) ? english zloty
Perhaps they've found out about the 1m deep tarmac. Bit more than plane and relay
x-in-man
They need to sort it out. If a road is closed, put the signs up, if it’s not don’t. Same goes for the diversion signs. It was all out the Douglas side, bugger all the MM side. It was open and being used. Thinking of billing Colas for the extra miles I needlessly put on because of their incompetence over the last few days.
