Well if there has been difficulty finding good candidates partly as a result of a perception that the office is under-resourced then offering a candidate a salary which is not commensurate with what they might expect would probably not help correcting that perception to someone considering applying.

Were you Jim Hackers secretary.

The island will never progress as long as we have these people to content with.

Movement on this campaign is happening!! 💪

Our demonstration march will be taking place THIS SUNDAY at 2pm in Ramsey 🇮🇲

Folks will be meeting at the Whitebridge Car Park in Poyll Dooey for this publicity event 📆

Please walk, use public transportation, car share as much as possible. The car park has space for only a couple of cars so please leave these for those with mobility issues

This demonstration march will go through potentially muddy fields and over rough terrain so please consider this before you set off 🥾

If you have a drone/camera/selfie stick, please bring it along to capture this pivotal moment 📸

It won’t take long to congregate and walk through the fields, please nip over if you can 🕰️

If you can’t make it, do the next best thing, share this post and spread the word!! 📲

We need as many people there as possible!

Thank you everybody! 🤗🙏

Yes I'm content with local people who want to demonstrate how they feel about unsuitable development.

Who writes this shit!!!!????

They do, themselves. It's a society and culture that has grown within Govt and is expanding faster than anyone can keep tabs on.

Phraseology like this justifies its existence and serves to keep the plebs feeling inferior by suggesting a superior intellect. "Plebs" includes the elected who are also dazzled by it.

It doesn't care who is paying for it either.

Of course we should remember that Alf was in the recruitment game, so probably created this bullshit himself.

You know things must be absolutely desperate and dire, when you have JPW on the NPM, telling its once adoring public, that it hopes to rebuild it’s relationship with the public, and its no good listening and not taking on the feedback.

Slight problem JPW, when those attending your roadshows bring up issues like, Manx Care/NHS, Liverpool Ferry Terminal, Steam Packet, Cost of Living etc etc etc, are you, CM Cannan and Co, going to change direction? Are you going to put a stop to the endless hiring of civil servants, increasing the payroll? I doubt it. These roadshows are nothing but a civil servant derived PR exercise which CM Cannan hopes will placate critics.
