  1. Not one of them has delivered for me, it's always someone with a blue and red uniform in a smart car.
  2. Oh come on... Green would have been the most appropriate. I wonder if the indicators on this car do virtue signalling?
  3. Quite rightly. Acutely aware the money is running out, and it would be idiotically stupid for the IOMG not to allow the company to find out for sure whether the gas flows... Only drilling will prove or disprove. Everything else just noise.
  4. why is there even debate on this? there is "full" employment on the Island, we need workers. Just suspend work permits and see what happens. Less talking, more doing.

    a leg? it's quite normal.
  6. Looks great, if they can prove funds available to complete the project, should be given fast-track planning and commence building ASAP.
  7. I didn't say I ate them. I had the experience of purchasing them. Went twice separately during the day with each mini-B4mbi.
  8. My food festival experience was £10 for a chicken burger and a few chips. £3.75 for a cookie £3.80 for a slice of cake £6 for a (very basic) hot dog with cheese £8 to get in (2 day pass - u16 free) There were free demonstrations and live music, so entrance fee not too bad. With the food prices, I guess that's just way things are now, everyone has to make a living... but I must be getting older as they did seem "robustly" priced!!!
  9. 2nd job ordering chewing gum removal machines 3rd job -removing all garlic from the canteen 4th job - changing working hours to hours of darkness only 5th job - a point-by-point rebuttal generator machine.
  10. That's good. Just in time for the arrival of Manxman.... You know, the new vessel that was ordered in July2021....
  11. Yep thought exactly the same going through there tonight. It was packed In departures.
  12. What a marvellous idea, like this article I found from 10 years ago with a younger version of everyone's favourite reporter lovely quote from John Quaye "It's too obvious"
  13. In unconnected news, Reynolds spotted at Gatwick this morning....
  14. Then we're in a no different situation than we are currently. I.e. financially challenging.
  15. Yeah, personally no issue with them and their visual amenity. 😄
  16. But if the gas flows as expected, that MUA debt to treasury and the bonds can be paid off, and the windmills built, with load to spare, even if the windmill cost runs 5 times over budget. Which is why Alf is 100% right to find out for certain by drilling if the gas will get us out of a massive financial hole.
  17. You work in the planning department and I claim my £5. Say what you mean, they look shit!
  18. https://www.gov.im/media/1348386/guide-to-the-user-agreement.pdf The King Edward pier linkspan always been govt owned manannan Victoria pier linkspan, which is what I was referring to was owned by IOMSPC until IOMG bought the company.
  19. Thanks for your input into this debate! They are extremely confident about what's down there, the previously drilled well in '82 being inadvertently drilled on a fault. The detailed data and analysis they have done has convinced someone enough to conditionally put up around $50m of financing, which would cover the cost of the test well and any well plugging /decommissioning costs if it was a duster. If you're putting up $50m, you sure as hell have done your due diligence! This must surely be in the licence agreement or a condition of the drill permit. Essentially crogga are exploration company, and it is reasonable for them to not incur unnecessary costs. Doesn't make them cheapskate and amateur, or do you dismiss the credentials of Richard Hubbard and Eric Everson? I believe they've contracted with internationally respected well Operations/managers that have contracts with the likes of Shell.... But I freely admit to having no experience in the field!
  20. Also has Manx-Line on it, which the former harbour master wanted to paint and highlight when IOMG took the linkspan from IOMSPC 😀 (ah as @Gladysalready noticed!)
  21. Couldn't say, as I'm no industry expert, but it's a one shot chance of a lifetime for IOMG. They have to be bold and take it. Safety will not be compromised, and as wells go, its not in deep water and it's a conventional gas reservior. I.e. well established methods of drilling to be used. They have 2D seismic, obtaining 3D will not prove if gas will flow, but they've committed to do this after the well has been drilled and is successful, I believe.
  22. Which professional?! can always find someone that will offer alternative viewpoint! The key issue is that the only way to find out if the resource can be utilised is to drill. Further surveying will not definitively prove that. Only drilling will. Point is also the CEO of Crogga and one other Director are highly experienced in the field, have vast industry knowledge and contacts and 100% know what they are doing. The other two are investors that risked significant venture capital at the start and hence have a place on the board.
  23. I think it has everything to do with Crogga....
