  1. Ok, in general, apart from frankly unexpected things like Covid, life expectancy through the dim & distance past has improved exponentially with the new pharmas. So, why doesn't IOMG make this unassailable knowledge part of the ingredients in deciding how to fund our health care. They (iomg) ask us, the public the question, "how can we do this?" That was what we elected YOU to do! Forget the fanciful stuff you can put your name on a brass plaque for and.....find a way!
  2. In fear of repeating myself, cos frankly I am πŸ™„!! Why is the term 'over budget' always used, when in most cases it really is a genuine case of 'underfunding'? While they (IOMG) acknowledge (in principle) that we have an ever aging population, living longer because of fairly recent amazing pharmaceutical discoveries, this FACT is not really being used as part of the equation to determine how realistically to fund the NHS now and for the future. AND, it happens year after year after year ad infinitum!! Come on IOMG, get your priorities in the right order of REAL importance!
  3. Fairly recently I had an MRI scan. Something was discovered that perplexed the specialists who analysed the results...they didn't know what it was! So they said they would request an 'URGENT' appointment for me to see the relevant specialist for the part of the body where this unknown object had been found. Couple of weeks passed and I'd heard nothing, so I called the hospital and was put through the the departments secretary and explained about this appointment that had been deemed 'urgent' Very helpfully she explained that they were 13 months behind on 'urgent appointments.....13 months. Also, it is now 10 years since I applied for an NHS Dentist. Is this the REAL state of our health service on this Island of ours. Incidentally I have paid into 'the system' for over 50 years and apart from 5 hospitalisations over those years for simple operations, have not been an expensive patient for them.
  4. ABSOLUTELY. But in those more innocent days, they just knew the were the 'fairer sex' and were treated as such....gentler.
  5. I was juss thinking too, nothing we did, apart from I suppose what is now termed 'Trespass' while stealing Apples, and maybe underage usage of what are now classed as 'firearms (1.77 air pistols) {BB guns!!} was illegal. Also too, if your 'Gang' was held with any sort of respect by your contemporaries (the other gangs) there was always half a dozen girls who would sometimes want to 'hang' with you. But that's a story for another time....maybe........maybe not.
  6. Cycling out to the mines at Foxdale to do some 'Dirt trackin' around the deads AND finding the biggest rock you could, leaning over the wall atop of the 800 ft open shaft and then waiting for that massive 'BOOM' as your rock hit bottom. Them's were the days alright, healthy, on the bikes in the great open air, making Tarzan like swings 60 feet in the air out over the turning area at Castle Mona Avenue The same over the river just below the Brown Bobby. Riding the horse tram horses bareback when they overwintered on Douglas Head, )where the gorse seemed to spontaniously ignite sometimes)!!. Climbing down the cliffs on Marine Drive to check out the shipwreck towards the Port Soderick end. AND...taking our 'Frenchies' purchased Webley 1.77 air pistols down to the 'Litz' (spelling) where they supposedly turned old horses into glue, to pop off a few longtails. At 12 to 14 years old those were indeed the days Major fun times alright, but looking back, boy were they dangerous.
  7. No, she's Canadian.
  8. Oh so modest, for a deep cynic.
  9. Just a sick and twisted individual. Please, have some sympathy.
  10. If it saves a life, it certainly is.
  11. You ain't just whistlin dixie sunshine.
  12. Oh the irony. πŸ€ͺ Wonderfully unbelievable.
  13. Oh....look who it is.....AGAIN. Well done Charles I say.
  14. Mr Cannan (jnr) had a father who had backbone and intellect, and who wasn't afraid to confront the CS if he felt they're plans weren't in best interests of the public. Sorry to say that the 'promise of change' he seem to demand in Tynwald at the time has simply just dissipated. Would his father have been proud of juniors leadership qualities...I just don't know.
  15. Every time I make a category selection on MF I get a pain in the derrier pop-up. How do I get rid?
  16. Simply by responding in the manner that you have, you know who you are. One of the usual...CLOWNS.
  17. Thank you, you've fully understood exactly what I was talking about.
  18. Clowns at it again, in every single topic, no matter the seriousness or otherwise. AND....ALWAYS THE SAME CLOWNS.
  19. Merry Christmas Y'all.
  20. An honest, trustworthy, transparent and capable IOMG. This would bring major positive changes to this lovely little Island of ours and we really would then be ALL in this together.
  21. Jeez, he/she has now got me stooping to his/her levelπŸ€” Okay, if it makes you feel superior, you win. I'm out of here....Happy Christmas πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‰
  22. Before you might do anything rash....call a friend....oh..wait.
  23. Wow, so much built up negative, angry energy. I actually feel real sorry for you having to deal with that. Good luck keeping your head together. Wouldn't like to be wherever you are right now.
  24. Well...you obviously take me seriously enough with your very usual contempt for anyone who has the temerity to disagree with you. Notice I haven't needed to resort to schoolyard name calling. But in a NUTshell that's just you.
  25. Hope you get paid appropriately for your submissions, because Lord knows you really are a master troller. I am genuinely impressed. πŸ˜‹ 🀣
