At the time, Boris Johnson was spouting 'let it rip' as a strategy. Dr Ranson viewed an Island 'closed border' opportunity as the most obvious decision. (Better be safe than sorry.) Tory driven COMIN had the hotline to Westminster. One or two members of the CS thought they knew better and influenced the decision. We could have closed the borders and had some breathing space to work out what was happening. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Wankers.

On a serious note, 1000's of families made last minute arrangements to find childcare. There is every chance that kids will have been more at risk due to being left unattended as parents fit in work. Countless number of private sector workers will be out of pocket for many different reasons. This is a complete f*ck up by a collection of power mad half wits who do not have a clue what they are doing. So many costs as a result of today's shambles.

The thing is, today's snow break costs me £210 in lost income. There will be many more people worse off. What is the cost of this to non government workers? Can the brains in Government create a Red/Amber/Green system for this meteorogical phenomenon? Or is some over excited civil servant executive creaming his pants at hitting the 'Everbridge' button?

The supreme decision makers on this Island are now praying for a big snow drop. Sign of the times.
