Manx Radio do a great job advertising what's on at the theatre, the Villa, bus and transport offers/promotions and those great steam train adverts. These commercials must make loads of money for the station.

Manx Radio is funny and keeps some very nice theatrical type people in jobs. We'd miss their wit and repartee if they had to work in the civil service or something.

A lot of motor cycle events are run by enthusiasts. The average age for S100 and the Classic must be 60+ and have been doing it for years. It's not easy for grandad and co to adapt to the increased speeds and safety issues. Look at the marshalling points around the course and see the age of the volunteers. There is no obvious future ahead.

Marshals are to be admired. Without them, the event wouldn't go ahead and the Isle of Man economy would be thousands of pounds worse off.

Transport enthusiasts are reducing in number due to age and demographic. Similar to the great people who marshal the motor cycle races. Eventually, there won't be the numbers to support these activities.
