Heron and Deary seemed to be imposing a 30m distancing rule before Covid19. Certainly looked that way walking past usually seeing only two customers in most of their places. 5
Holte End
Government will probably return the old sunday opening hours.

I think places like the Queens Hotel have been practicing a strict one person per pub social distancing policy for years now. This might actually provide a boom for H & B to get more than 5 people back into most of its pubs for a few weeks as a novelty factor creeps in. Buying Bushy's Piston Brew in milk cartons from Winerite is not quite the same - still tasty though I reckon the likes of the Courthouse will be rammed by youngsters - eager to party. I suspect most 50 plus year-olds might give it a few months yet before venturing in to buy a pint. Socially distanced meals will probably be the first thing in demand.

Albert Tatlock
I wouldn't be surprised if they restrict opening hours at first. 8 pints tends to discourage a lot of social distancing - in pubs the distance people keep tends to be inversely proportional to the number of drinks they have. Anything past 5 pints and even fat birds get a cuddle. 1 1
Golfer
Well no new cases again today so if this continues no reason why pubs can't open.

Non-Believer
If anything, this lockdown has opened my eyes as to just how expensive it is to go to the pub a couple of times a week. Especially if you're out with the other half and you bump into a mate and his wife. Even a couple of hours sat yakking and taking it in turns to buy soon racks it up. Expensive hobby.
madmanx90
Pubs simply do not work with social distancing it's the whole point of going to the pub to socialise. 2
