UK Immigration changes = IOM Opportunity?

With the UK increasing the required income to 38k, does it make the IOM more appealing or are we caught in the same basic framework? Anyone smarter than me able to elaborate how it affects the island?

Anyone earning less than that will just be a drain on resources here.

Not sure that's true? Anyone who works who moves here is going to be less of a drain than a new Manx person born here.

Really even if they’re 75 and have a dodgy heart and hip?

Just admit you missed the "who works" bit in my first post. I am Manx.

It’s an income requirement not a who works for what requirement.

Yes. But anyone who works is likely to be less of a drain than someone born here, on account of their education and early life healthcare being funded by a different country. We should be doing our best to steal as many as possible to really stick it to those foreigns who had to pay for the education of the immigrants.
