Surely, a private venture would need to plan and pay for this, i.e. the organiser would get a bill from the fuxx for the vip escort, one from the airport for staying open, etc... Well he didn't apologise but it definitely seemed genuine when he said we were a brilliant audience, he'd be back soon and he was sorry it had taken him 41 years to visit. Re keeping the airport open, there's no way the extension charges will cover the costs, so it'll be the taxpayer who picks up the bill I'm afraid. But that goes for all extensions, not just the one for Elton John. So if you know anyone flying on one of those direct charters this summer and they're coming in late at night, you can tell them your taxes helped subsidise their holiday and they're welcome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
