woolley
Mr Shimmin needs to explain printed page 26. Link Good spot. That needs breaking down as obviously some are going to be medical consultants etc, but that is 120 odd over £100k. Looking like the civil servants need a rise! Uhtred
When he refers to consultants, is that hospital consultants (who are of course not civil servants) or "others" presumably providing some sort of specialist advice (or indeed does he mean both of the above?). hillshepherd
What has his brother got to do with this issue?. His brother is/was a perfect example of "Civil Service Fat Cat". So, John's rhetoric is not only meaningless but tainted. his brother is/was in private practice as an accountant !! or should i ask how many brothers does he have?, i am not a shimmin supporter in any way. thesultanofsheight
What is the figure for fat pigs? Judging by those going into Markwell House in the morning I'd say it's pretty high.
Mr Shoe
his brother is/was in private practice as an accountant !! or should i ask how many brothers does he have?, i am not a shimmin supporter in any way.Not the one I'm referring to. I'm talking about the one in charge of our economy (with Bell) for the decade leading up to our current financial crisis before retiring with a golden handshake. Mr Shoe
Just out of interest, what is the consensus: 1. That our MHKs are just the puppets of our corrupt Civil Servants? 2. Or that our Civil Servants are just carrying out the evil work of their greedy overlords? It seems to switch depending on who people are defending on that day. Chinahand
Compared to 2008 every single salary level has seen an expansion in numbers:.............................2015/2008300,000-324,999 1/0250,000-299,999 2/0225,000-249,999 4/0200,000-224,999 14/1175,000-199,999 22/8150,000-174,999 18/13125,000-149,999 25/16100,000-124,999 40/2875,000-99,999 120/5350,000-74,999 577/413 291 more people earning over £50K per year. Assuming people earn the mid point in the salary bands the salary of the highest paid public servant has risen from £212,500 to £312,500 - a 47% increase. Obviously there is wage inflation ... but it doesn't signal a decrease in bloat does it!
manxy
I want to see the breakdown figures for those people in the following wage bands for a truer picture 40,000 to 49,999 30,000 to 39,999 20,000 to 29,999 10,000 to 19,999 0 to 9,
