Do they want junk food? Yes. Do they want a quinoa salad? No. Someone got their knickers in a twist about the nsc being a health place, so it should sell healthy food. Saving kids from obesity and all that. Not much chance of some of the taxpayers becoming obese with £150k losses like that though...

When it’s run by government there’s always some simpering bored twat interfering in what should just run smoothly and commercially. I heard MCD’s were the biggest benefactor of their switch to protect people from themselves as they just get in the car after swimming and drive round the corner for a Big Mac and fries at the drive thru. So all some civil servant thinking they have some nonsensical duty of care to fatties has done is apparently lose the cafe even more money. Maybe the Villa bar will stop serving beer and spirits next to save its customers from potentially becoming alcoholics then wonder why nobody goes in there after a few months when all they’re serving is ginger beer and tap water so as not to encourage some customers problem drinking. Let's not forget that if they are at the NSC in the first place then they are in fact exercising. Unlike the fuckwits in government whose only exercise is jumping to the wrong conclusions...

Non-Believer
Allinson made reference to this on a radio interview last week, said it's not good enough, or words to that effect. How difficult is it to refurbish a swimming pool? How long did it take to actually build it?

gettafa
There has been Covid during all this. It was wheeled out as a reason for a couple of delayed/extra cost projects in last week's examiner. Many more to come. Covid. Thank god for Covid.

All that matters is that they paid a company for these slides without checking if they really existed.
