It was once a successful hotel, and there were other hotels and guest houses in the area at one time. I'm not sure that the threat to the wildlife and dark skies is totally valid when we have an airport on one side and a lighthouse on the other? Not enough business for a hotel to be viable alone but planning is dependent on some kind of development which includes a hotel.
Manximus Aururaneus
The developers need to put in a fresh application. Close off the inlet from the sea, kids boating lake, pedalo or two, water slides, bouncy castles, wet T-shirt competitions, beer and chicken wing BBQ's, Jet ski circuit. - they'll soon get their apartments. It will replace a rotting, rat-infested eyesore with a nice facility which hopefully will be financially viable. If the island can't offer facilities such as this we will never become a tourism destination.

You're normally more sensible than that
