It's never been a site for permanent residences

Why should it be now?

It was once a successful hotel, and there were other hotels and guest houses in the area at one time. I'm not sure that the threat to the wildlife and dark skies is totally valid when we have an airport on one side and a lighthouse on the other? Not enough business for a hotel to be viable alone but planning is dependent on some kind of development which includes a hotel.

Yep, make it an urban zone

Concrete over the lot of it

This proposal neither increases the footprint nor will result in the loss of land.

It will replace a rotting, rat-infested eyesore with a nice facility which hopefully will be financially viable.

There's already a long established golf course and clubhouse there which was part of the existing hotel, I think it's an over reaction. If the island can't offer facilities such as this we will never become a tourism destination.

A 40 apartment & 40 bedroom hotel development won't increase the existing footprint?

You're normally more sensible than that

Have you looked at the plan?
