Declan
Oh so am I! It falls conveniently for me as the first stage of my Barcelona Primavera trip. Wonder who the special guests will be.
TheTeapot
He did it in Paris last year with Mark Lanegan and Lemonjelly. i wouldn't mind at all if they were involved in this. I absolutely love those albums Lanegan did with Isobel Campbell from Belle and Sebastian.

Shake me up Judy
Yes, he could be an awkward sod Ewan MacColl. Talented guy though, a key figure in the folk revival and he wrote some wonderful stuff. Although Roberta Flack's smoky version of The First Time... is wonderful, I actually prefer the natural innocence of Peggy Seeger's. They're both fantastic of course, so you takes your pick..... 1
Chinahand
The lyrics ... "Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got Till it's gone" ... have been in the borderlands between conscious and sub-conscious for the last few days. Isn't the brain a wonderful thing.
quilp
Lucky you, china. Been kind of out if it myself these last few days but it's probably the pneumonia... Her album, 'Chalk Mark in a Rainstorm' is an album I played to death when it came out (1988). Listened to it again for the first time in many years recently and it still sounds fresh and full, still has all that airiness and colour. She brought in many guests: Peter Gabriel, Thomas Dolby, Don Henley, Tom Petty and even Billy Idol! Wayne Shorter and the amazing Manu Katché on the kit. If you're not familiar check it out.
