Ramsey school lockdown drill

Definition of a “lose-lose” issue for the school, at least on social media.

If they don’t have a lockdown policy and practice drills, and the unthinkable happens (eg, someone with a gun around the school) - the usual commentators will fume that the school wasn’t ready and the children were let down by D of Ed.

But if they do, those same commentators will ridicule the school.

Spot on, don't see how someone can get worked up by this, I'm sure usual suspects will be foaming at the mouth on Facebook though.

Kid went into school with a knife and threatened a teacher recently from various comments I've seen.

There's been quite a bit of data science research done on, particularly, mass killings in the USA, as well as incidents in the UK. These events and incidents do spread and the news stations and media are mostly to blame as they generally give these idiots full OTT coverage. Virtually a meme -  and it's a reporting format that we shouldn't copy here. This shit should stay low profile IMO - just as other sensitive information about schools is kept the same.

They were - last night was hilarious. The number of kids suffering from anxiety and mental health problems which would be exacerbated by this drill, demonstrated the need for it.

So I assume they're not going to be able to make anything in woodwork today.

Is it just power drills?  Or can they still use one with a twirly handle?
