Funny, in all the years I have been traveling on the SP, I have never known them use an anchor when docking at any port.

Sounds like the problem was a W-Anchor.

you would only drop an anchor in port if you could not stop the vessel, problems with bow thrusters or control of prop pitch.  or as you say the W-anchor.

I've seen three series of 'Below Deck' so I am an expert in these matters.

If there's anything else you need to know then just ask me.

Are you David Ashford too? 😂

Currently on the fast boat, still no sailed for Liverpool.

getting passenger charter leaflet from office at sea terminal ‘difficult’

steam packet do not issue vouchers for refreshments due to delay, you have to buy and then claim back

this seems to be at odds with both passenger charter and eu regulations

You will be lucky. Now the taxpayer and it’s an offshoot of IOMG, it will fleece the travelling public. EU regulations - IOM never been part, regulations were implemented when it suited IOMG.

Apparently a medical emergency on the inbound mannanan caused further delays in the outbound Liverpool.
