samsungman Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I saw keeping mum a couple of things ago well I feel asleep watching it but it's good and it's filmed on the isle of man! Quote
Foxtrotlima Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Watched Bender's Big Score (IMDB) last night and I was really pleasantly surprised. I had enjoyed The Simpsons movie earlier on this year, but Futurama has surpassed it. I would recommend a watch, even the most die hard Futurama fan wouldn't be disappointed. Quote
Mission Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Wasn't really a film, more a tele-drama. Watched Exodus on Channel 4 the other week. I wasn't too sure whether or not I'd like it (my main reason for watching was where it was filmed) but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Quote
Plectrum Infusion Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 28weeks later last nite, what a pile of shite...not even robert carlise could rescue it...the first 5-7minutes was great, but it just collapsed after that...avoid avoid avoid Meh, I thought it was OK, not as good as the original but certainly watchable, although having a fitting epileptic as the cameraman wasn't such a good directorial choice, it gave me a fucking headache to watch it. immortalpuppet Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 30 days of night, i thought it was amazing. That harnett fella played a good role and there was plenty of action. Not your usual vampire movie and i think thats why i liked it so much. 8/10 from me. Quote

As with the first one I found it interesting seeing London empty and having the Isle of Dogs as a camp was cool! Quote
ans Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Watched two films yesterday (lazy day) Shoot 'Em Up - A deliberately over the top gun and chase film. Clive Owen is perfect in the lead role, that's got a slight whiff of Max Payne about him. The sheer number of guns, set piece action scenes and ridiculous stunts managed to paper over the daft plot. It's a parody on action thrillers, but manages to be funny, exciting and a good script, if a little minimal. Stardust - I'll get shouted at no doubt, but I thought this was turd. The storytelling was a mess, the acting was lousy and the script was poor. It had a couple of nice comedy touches, mostly involving the ghostly brothers, but most other situations were contrived and unfunny. It was a shame to see someone like de Niro hamming it up in such a shitty role. Hugely disappointing, considering the trailers made it appear to be a decent adult fantasy film. I'm sure the girls and teenagers will love it though. But what do they know? Quote
K.os Theory Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Spiderman 3 last nite - meh great special fx, but the whole thing just felt a bit flat, wanted more of venom and ended up with spider-emo instead Quote
the_kitty Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I like the look of Enchanted, the new Disney film Quote
oogie boogie Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 a little tip for people with Hostel on DVD. When the guy gets tortured by the german business man, turn the subtitles on. Here you'll find Tarantino wittering utter bollocks Quote
Mr Crabster Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 The last film I saw on the IOM was No Limit. Perhaps it's time for another comical TT film. Peter Kay could play Shuttleworth this time. Quote
oogie boogie Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 i'd love to see that fat bastard fall off a motorbike. Quote
